Selena Gomez Gets Candid On Her New Song, Reveals Her Childhood Crush

Selena Gomez recently revealed that she kissed her childhood crush's brother.

Selena Gomez recently appeared on the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC. During her appearance, the songstress revealed her new music will be different from her other ‘sad girl songs.’ She added, ‘I’m just so used to writing sad girl songs because I’m good at that, but I’m ready to have some fun,’ Selena said. ‘And I think people are going to like it.’

Selena looks gorgeous in a black dress to promote her Apple TV+ documentary film titled Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me. Selena said she started filming the documentary around seven years ago. Selena shared, “We kind of went through all the different phases of my life from getting diagnosed and doing all the things that I had to go through.”

The actress added, “Not going to lie, I can’t watch it. To be honest, I was scared to release it but knew that being honest and being completely transparent was what I wanted to be known for. I don’t want it to be an unattainable thing. I want people to know that it’s not just you and that they’re not alone.” Jimmy then asked her about going to the White House and meeting with President Biden and the First Lady to discuss mental health issues.

Jimmy said he loved the part in the documentary where she went to her hometown and her old house and there was an actual mirror she had written the name Cole Sprouse, her The Suite Life of Zack & Cody co-star, and drew a heart next to his name. Selena shared, ‘And my first kiss was his brother.’ The actress then emphasised, ‘On TV.’ ‘I think I felt much better that it wasn’t him because I would have been an idiot,’ Selena said.

Jimmy also asked Selena about her sense of humour and why she named her kidney. ‘So I got a kidney transplant a couple of years ago and as a way of coping, I thought I would name it,’ Selena said. ‘It’s weird. I know, but I did and I named it after Fred Armisen.’ Jimmy asked her why to which the Wolves singer replied while referencing the comedian’s TV show, ‘Because I love Portlandia and I love everything he does.’
