From Release Date To Cast, Here’s Everything To Know About Scream 6

The Scream saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings leaving Woodsboro behind and starting a new chapter.

After the huge success of Scream 5, the movie is returning with the sixth instalment. Paramount has set the Scream 6 for March 31, 2023. The release date announcement follows the success of Scream 5, which brought in over $140 million at the global box office. The entire creative team is set to return. While a lot of familiar faces are returning for the sixth Scream movie, one leading lady revealed that she’s still not sure if she’ll be back.

Neve Campbell, who has played Sidney Prescott since the first Scream movie, revealed that she’s not attached to the upcoming horror film just yet. “I don’t know if I am,” she admits, adding that she “can’t get into it.” While fans will have to wait and see if Campbell reprises her role, Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures recently announced that Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brow, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega are all returning for the sixth instalment.

Meanwhile previously, Courteney Cox also revealed that she will be reprising her role as Gale Weathers in the next film in the long-running horror series. The actress said, “I got the script yesterday. And I haven’t read it yet. I just got it, and I’m so used to getting, you know, Shining Vale scripts.”

The Friends actress went on to say, “Scripts are 26 pages, and I’m, ‘Whoah, I’ve got to read a script.’ I’m excited to read it.” The actress added, “I don’t know if I’m supposed to say anything. Let me tell you the killer!” Paramount and Spyglass promptly greenlit a sequel with the whole creative gang returning including directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, James Vanderbilt, and Guy Busick co-writing the screenplay.

Project X Entertainment’s Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak producing with Kevin Williamson and Chad Villella executive producing. King Richard director Reinaldo Marcus Green is helming the Bob Marley movie with Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, and Cedella Marley producing on behalf of Tuff Gong, Robert Teitel also producing and a screenplay from Zach Baylin, Frank E. Flowers, and Terence Winter.
