Playback Singer Pankaj Udhas Dies At The Age Of 73, Daughter Nayaab Confirms His Death

“Chitthi aayi hai” singer Pankaj Udhas passes away at the age of 72 due to prolonged illness. His family confirmed the news on social media.

Popular playback singer Pankaj Udhas passes away today on February 26 at around 11:00 am. This 73-year-old ghazal singer was ill for a long time. He was at Breach Candy Hospital when he took his last breath. His demise is a huge loss to the entire music industry. 

Pankaj’s daughter Nayaab Udhas confirmed his death through an Instagram post. She wrote, “With A Very Heavy Heart, We Are Saddened To Inform You Of The Sad Demise Of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas On 26th February 2024 Due To Prolonged Illness.” 

He gave his melodious voice to many Bollywood songs, like “Chhupana Bhi Nahi Aata”, “Kuch Baat Hai Tum Mein Jo”, “Chitthi aayi hai”, “Hothon Pe Tera Naam”, “Jeeye To Jeeye Kaise” and many others. In 2006 he was awarded one of the civilian awards ‘Padmashree’.
