Madhu Mantena is a renowned Bollywood film producer who has given our industry many hit films and now recently is in the highlight for launching his big budget dream Bollywood film project which is 3D Ramayan. This film from the time it got announced recently has been successful enough in creating buzz also piquing the audiences and fans curiosity which has made this another mega budget and much anticipated historical and mythological period drama films in the making.
The film will be mounted on a huge and lavish scale with a budget of Rs 300 crores. This film has been the most ambitious and dream project of producer Madhu Mantena which is finally happening now. The most important factor over here is that this movie will be the maiden solo venture of Madhu.
Also, this is true that till date there have been many innumerous screen adaptations of Ramayana but none of them have ever been this huge enough to match the scale, expanse and budget of noted film producer Madhu Mantena’s film adaptation of Ramayan which would be going on floors shortly.
Madhu Mantena recently bought over the shares of Phantom films from his partners Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Vikas Bahl is all ready and geared up to fly solo with his dream project Ramayan finally on the cards which is going to be his most ambitious and auspicious flag bearing project.
According to sources as well, Madhu Mantena’s big screen Ramayan will be in the 3D format and the film budget would be around 300 crores. Nitesh Tiwari who directed Aamir Khan’s Dangal (2016) will be helming this movie. This film would be of an extravagant length as no aspect of the holy mythological story would be left out. It can also be that Madhu may release it as two full length feature films.
A source involved in the film’s development was quoted saying, “These are sensitive times. And the last thing the Ramayan needs is an underwhelming treatment or a revisionist screenplay. Mantena has deployed several researchers to project absolute accuracy and preserve complete sanctity in his film version of the venerated epic”.
As the cast of A listers is being finalized for the film, another news came in which states that Hrithik and Deepika are front liners for the much coveted role of Ram and Sita, where noted film maker Ravi Udyawar who also directed late actress Sridevi’s last film Mom (2017), is also going to be associated with this film that is promising to be an epic in each and every way.
