Late Bollywood actress Divya Bharti’s father Om Prakash Bharti left for heavenly abode on October 30. Director and producer Sajid Nadiadwala was married to Divya Bharti. His second wife Warda Nadiadwala confirmed the news on social media.
She shared two pictures in which Sajid and Warda can be seen posing with Om Prakash Bharti. Along with the pictures, she wrote, “Will Miss u Dad! #rip #omprakashbharti @kunalbhartiofficial stay strong.”
Sajid Nadiadwala and Divya Bharti met through actor Govinda while working on the set of Shola Aur Shabnam, and they married on 10 May 1992 at a private ceremony. Even her father was unaware of her marriage for quite some time. Divya, who was just 18 at that time, had kept her marriage a secret. She died in April 1993.
Later Sajid Nadiadwala married Warda in the year 2000. It is reported that Sajid and Warda were very close to Divya Bharti’s father. A leading news portal reported, “Sajid was by Divya’s father side when he passed away. He was at the cremation the next day. For Sajid, Om Prakash Bharti was like his own father. He calls Divya’s parents mom and dad.
