Virat, Ranbir and Mahi to play a charity football match

Ranbir-Abhishek, Virat-Mahi to face-off against football pitch for charity.This will be an interesting match to watch stars and players opposite to each other

The heartthrob has joined hands with the Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘Playing for Humanity’ to hold a charity football match which will also feature limited overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni apart from the Test Captain and top Bollywood actor like Ranbir Kapoor. The match termed as ‘Celebrity Classico 2016’ will take place at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri Sports Complex, with an objective to generate funds for the foundations’ charitable initiatives. The handsome hunk Virat will lead the All Heart Football Club (a property of the Virat Kohli Foundation) and Bachchan is set to lead All Stars Football Club run by Playing for Humanity). Apart from Virat Kohli and M.S.Dhoni, some of the country’s top cricketers like Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, Yuvraj Singh, R.Ashwin will be playing in this match. Also prominent Bollywood celebrities like Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor , Ranbir Kapoor and Shoojit Sircar will be playing this match. Abhishek Bachchan and MS Dhoni are co-owners of ISL franchise Chennaiyin FC, Viray is the co-owner of FC Goa while Ranbir Kapoor is the co-owner of Mumbai City FC. Virat Kohli, who was in supreme form in the IPL 9, has also posted a video on his twitter handle in which the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper is talking about the ‘Celebrity Classico’. Revenge would be on the minds of All Stars; players as they suffered 4-3 defeat at the hands of All Hearts FC last year. The All Stars team would be led on to the pitch by superstar Ranbir Kapoor as Bachchan won’t be able to take part due to an injury. He, however, promised to be on the sidelines. “I would be shouting instructions like Mourinho and we as actors would make up for the dearth in football talent by playing with heart,” he signed off.
