Star speaks out against the President of the United States, Donald Trump’s controversial immigration ban at the 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

The 23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards was presented last night where the actors were honored with their best achievements in films and television performance for the year 2016. 

As we know that President Trump gives an executive order on immigration bars to citizens of 7 Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States of America for the next  90 days and suspends the admission of all refugees for hundred and twenty days.

Now the celebrities come up and support the immigrants by being a part of the protest. The Big Bang Theory actor, Simon Helberg along with his wife Jocelyn Towne were seen silently protesting. Simon had a sign on which it was written, ‘Refugees Welcome’ and his wife, Jocelyn had the words "Let Them In" written across her chest.

Not just on the red carpet but also politically correct statement in their accepting speech. Seinfeld actress, Julia Louis-Dreyfus was among the first one to address the issue while accepting the award for best actress in a comedy series on Sunday, saying, “I want you all to know that I am the daughter of an immigrant. My father fled religious persecution in Nazi-occupied France, and I’m an American patriot and I love this country.

Not just that but the cast of the Netflix series, “Orange Is the New Black”, who bagged the won for best comedy ensemble and highlighted the many nationalities that make up their diverse cast. Taylor Schilling  gave her thanking speech and concluded by saying, “And we know it’s going to be up to us and all of you probably too to keep telling stories that show what unites us is stronger than the forces that seek to divide us.
