Hollywood star of yesteryears, Pierce Brosnan says he was at the time, frustrated with his role of James Bond citing the reason that his character lacked grit and realism.

The veteran British actor portrayed the character of ‘Agent 007’ in four films i.e Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough, Goldeneye and Die Another Day.

According to the reports, the 63-year-old actor in an interview with Total Magazine said that he wished, the plots of the Bond movie at the time weren’t so outlandish. The actor further said that there was a certain frustration that grew within him as the films went on and he could see the world happening around him and his movie. With all that happening, the actor says that he wanted ‘Bond’ to get a tad more gritty and real and down and dirty with its character, but whenever he tried to nurse it along, the scripts would come along with the same outlandish scenarios as before and his frustration grew with every one of those scenarios.

The actor further added to his statement that he tried to go with the flow and enjoy the great experience of traveling to those exotic locations around the world and just being in character of James Bond. The actor also added that this one time, he was having a great time working on ‘Die another Day’ but his experience was soon spoiled by a ridiculous invisible car from the script, so he just had to endure through it and believe in it.
