1. A Mother of 34!


Certainly not literally, no! The actress has adopted 34 girls in 2009 from the Mother Miracle orphanage in Rishikesh and has pledged to give financial aid to these girls by providing for their education, food, and clothing! WOW, girl...
What's more is that the actress was bestowed upon with an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from the University of East London; with a citation that described her as, "an international actress, pioneering star of Hindi cinema and devoted humanitarian. Preity Zinta has carved a path for women to follow worldwide."


2. A HAVARD CONNECT:


One of Bollywood's most educated celebrities; Preity Zinda hold a degree from the world's most prestigious Havard University in Negotiation and Deal Making.


3. A BBC COLUMNIST!


A very well spoken and well read Preity; has written several articles for the British Broadcasting Company's (BBC) South Asian online portal in her candid style on various issues. Her very first article; "The changing face of Bollywood", published in January 2004, went on to become one of the 10 most read articles of the site for the day.


4. HER FEAR OF SALMAN KHAN


In one of her previous interviews; Preity, who today is very close friends with Bollywood's bhaijaan, Salman Khan, had confessed of being very sacred of him until the two actually worked together.
The actress was quoted saying," The only actor I used to be scared of before I worked with him was Salman Khan. I don't know why but I was...I used to love to see Salman squirm and get embarrassed hearing my dialogues in ‘Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.' He actually is kinda shy,"

5. A NARROW ESCAPE FROM DEATH:


Preity had a near death experience in 2004 when there was an explosion at the Temptation Concert in Colombo that she was attending and later in the same year, when Tsunami swept through Thailand, Preity was right there enjoying her vacation.
After this incident, the actress was quoted saying, "I wrote down all the things that I have in life to be grateful about and it was quite a long list."

6. DENIED CLAIM TO A WHOPPING Rs. 600 CRORES!


Wwhhaatt? Yes! It so happens that when Shandar Amrohi, son of Bollywood's most celebrated director, Kamal Amrohi, passed away, he bestowed all of his wealth to his ‘adopted daughter' Preity; with whom the family shared a very close bond.

However; Preity choose to graciously refuse the inheritance of a whopping 600 crore!
