Just a day back she revealed that the trailer of her upcoming film Raazi will be releasing and much to our surprise the trailer surfaced the internet a bit early as we had thought.

The trailer starts with a portrayal of a tension between the two nations India and Pakistan. Sehmat (Alia Bhatt) an Indian girl is married to a Pakistani army officer (Vicky Kaushal) so she can be the eyes and ears' of India in Pakistan.

Sehmat is an obedient daughter, perfect wife and a fearless spy and Alia shines brightly in each and every frame of the trailer.

All credits to the director Meghna Gulzar who showcased another side of Alia Bhatt to the world. While Alia's acting abilities are known to the world when she delivered path-breaking performances in the films Udta Punjab, Highway and many others.

It is hard to forget Alia Bhatt as Sehmat as Raazi will be one of her best performances in life. Meghna Gulzar's espionage drama is the tale of one such unsung hero who left her mark on the Indian flag and our minds forever.

Raazi also stars Rajit Kapur, Amruta Khanvilkar and Alia's mother Soni Razdan in the lead. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar and Produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions and Junglee Pictures, Raazi is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka's novel Calling Sehmat.

It hits the theatres on May 11, 2018.
