Sunrisers Hyderabad: Stronger Than Ever

On paper, Sunrisers Hyderabad is the strongest team this season. There is no lack of depth even outside their playing XI. They start IPL 2019 as the hot favourites and with a stronger team than they had last year which reaches the finals, they will think that this year they can add another title to their tally in their seventh attempt.

Sunrisers Hyderabad is most excited with the comeback of Australia's dashing opener David Warner. His addition to the team makes SRH stronger than ever. SRH will look up to him for his experience in knock out games where SRH struggled last year. David Warner led SRH with the bat to victory in 2016 IPL final against RCB. Kane Williamson will expect him to perform similarly this season as well.

SRH Probable XI: David Warner, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Kane Williamson (c), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Yusuf Pathan, Shakib Al Hasan, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddharth Kaul

Watch Out for: Jonny Bairstow is one of the world's leading openers in white-ball cricket. Explosive kiwi opening batsman Martin Guptill hit two consecutive hundreds against Bangladesh last month. Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is in form with both bat and ball.

Strengths: Sunrisers Hyderabad have all the bases covered. Like Mumbai Indians, they have back-ups for all the players in their starting XI. If they lack firepower in the middle or one of David Warner or Kane Williamson is out of touch, they can be replaced by either of Jonny Bairstow or Martin Guptill who are among the best openers in the world. Bowling has always been SRH's strength. They have a battery of talented Indian fast bowlers. It will be tough for the tall Australian quick Billy Stanlake to get a game such is the luxury of Sunrisers Hyderabad. If Bhuvaneshwar Kumar needs to be rested with an eye for World Cup, he can be replaced by death overs specialist Basil Thampi who did well in the domestic T20 competition. Vijay Shankar can be replaced by Deepak Hooda, Shahbaz Nadeem can come in for Shakib to open up a foreign player spot.

Weaknesses: No weakness in the squad. They sailed through to the playoffs last year on the back of their bowling only to struggle in the qualifier and the final. They wouldn't want to peak too early this season. Also, there a few form and injury concerns.

X-Factor: David Warner will be looking to express himself and find his best form in his comeback. With the World Cup in sight, Warner will be inching to prove himself.

Uncapped Gem: Ricky Bhui is a 22-year-old batsman from Andhra who was in fine form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy, hitting a hundred and a fifty in the six games he played.

SRH Full Squad: Kane Williamson(c), David Warner, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Ricky Bhui, Shreevats Goswami, Jonny Bairstow, Wriddhiman Saha, Martin Guptill, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Mohammad Nabi, Abhishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul, Basil Thampi, Sandeep Sharma, Billy Stanlake, K Khaleel Ahmed, T Natarajan
