Fugitive billionaire Nirav Modi; who was untraceable for months, has finally been spotted in London's West End by a journalist from The Telegraph. 


Modi; who has been accused in one of India's biggest scam has been under the radar ever since news broke out that the diamantine has siphoned a whopping 14 thousand crores from one of India's largest bank; Punjab National Bank. 


The Telegraph has broken the news that Nirav Modi now operates a new business of diamonds in London from an office in Soho, which is a few yards away from his plush new apartment that is worth crores of rupees. 



The report carried out in The Telegraph further stated," Modi was given a National Insurance number in recent months by the department for work & pensions and has been able to operate online bank accounts in the UK while wanted by Indian authorities. He has also been in contact with a wealth management company based in West London, which specializes in advice to rich foreigners". 


While Modi was trying to escape the direct questions of the journalist was caught the fancy of netizens was his hideously expensive jacket which is made out of ostrich leather. We would like to bring to your notice that ostrich leather is one of the rarest and most expensive to find because of its life and look!


The jacket donned by Mr. Modi costs a whopping 9 lakh rupees! 


Following these articles; the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has come out with a statement that said," Request for the extradition of Nirav Modi to India was sent in the month of July 2018 to the UK. The UK central authority of home office has confirmed that the extradition request has been certified by the home secretary of UK and the same has been sent to the Westminster Magistrate Court for the District Judge for further proceedings." 


For those living under the rock; the PNB scam is the largest banking scam of India and Nirav Modi is accused along with Mehul Choksi of Geetanjali Jewelers in the scam. Modi's lavish bungalow in Alibaug was recently demolished using dynamites by the office of the district Collector of Raigad on Friday.
