The 73-page charge sheet; filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), against the prime accused Brajesh Thakur in the Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual abuse case, has brought to light some unimaginably inhuman and horrific instances about the crimes committed in the shelter home against the minor girls.

The charge sheet; that is filed before the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court of additional district judge R.P. Tiwari on December 19, revealed that girls were forced to dance on vulgar songs in front of guests wearing scanty clothes. They were also forced to have sex with the guests.

The charge sheet copy notes," "Those refusing to entertain the guests were offered only roti and salt at night, while those who danced were given good food."

The girls were made to wear skimpy clothes and then dance to vulgar Bhojpuri songs and then would be drugged and lied down to be raped by the guests of the politically well connected Brajesh Thakur. These guests also included some high end politicians and bureaucrats.

The charge sheet also includes another very influential name and that being of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) chairman Dilip Kumar Verma who was referred to by the victims as 'ganda aadmi'. Along with him, another name that cropped up was Ravi Kumar Roshan; who himself is a child protection officer, would drug the girls with sleeping pills and then rape them.

It is believed that Verma often helped Brajesh deal with the girls so as to make them comply. As per the confession of the victims the CBI charge sheet also mentions that Brajesh used to hit the girls on their private parts if they refuse to comply and have sex with his guests.

The horrific crime came to light early last year after the Tata Insitute of Social Service (TISS) conducted a social audit in the shelter home that is named ‘Balika Grih'. The shelter home is run by Brajesh Thakur's NGO 'Seva Sankalp Evam Vikas Samiti'.

As per the findings, the sexual harassment had been happening for over a decade and medical reports have found out that out of the 42 inmates of the shelter home 34 of them had faced sexual abuse.
