She is the controversy queen of television and has always managed to make headlines for reasons both right and wrong. And that is exactly what has happened with Shilpa Shinde once again.

The actress; who is known to be vocal about her opinions right from her Bigg Boss days to going against Vikas Gupta and suggesting that reality show star Danish Zehen (who died in a car accident) may have been murdered; and for facing massive criticism for unabashedly supporting BB Season 12 contestant and former cricket Sreesanth during his days in the show, was facing immense backlash for her comments on social media platforms.

So much so was the criticism; that the actress has deleted her Twitter account and has made it very clear that she will never be returning to the platform and has shockingly blamed her fans calling them fans who want to control her life.

The ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain' actress; wrote before deleting her account," Last night, one of my fans posted something tagging me and I retweeted it. After which I saw my own fans counseling me that why you want to get into other's matters. Basically what I have understood is that our fans just want to know about our day-to-day life and upcoming projects which I also don't mind doing."

She further mentioned," But for me, social media is beyond that where you can raise your voice, keep your opinions and not only me, but everybody has that right. But the moment we come up with an opinion or try to keep a point, fans come to correct you as to why are you saying all this, that's their matter. Please delete or add that account and I didn't like it. In short, my own fans were trying to control me which I didn't like at all."

Recalling one particular incident; Shilpa said," Like, I tweeted for Danish Zehen tagging Mumbai Police. God forbid, no one should experience this in their lives but I felt it was mysterious hence I decided to raise my voice for it. Unfortunately, in spite of supporting me on this, the people who follow me started correcting me that why you want to jump in to this. And I feel that's the reason in today's world people don't come ahead to help others."

Finally; when asked if her decision was temporary, the actress was quick to say," Kabhi bhi nahi. Jab tak zinda hoon will not come back to Twitter again."

She further added," I was like this, blunt and outspoken throughout, even during Bigg Boss 11. I have always kept across my point of view. I don't know why my fans have suddenly started to have a problem. They should know that I am no God and can't behave in a manner of their choice and have my own opinion. I don't want any negativity around and will delete my Instagram soon. I don't intend to return to social media any longer."

While her ardent fans are almost in tears; many others have started trending the new hash-tag #ShilpaBhagGayi and are even regretting supporting her in the Bigg Boss house; but posting apologies on her rival and former co-contestant Hina Khan's page for not supporting her(Hina) and choosing Shilpa, who was fake all the time in the house. Ouch!
