One man's loss is another man's gain. The fate of every actor in the television industry is unpredictable until the foot is established in the sphere. With the arrival and departure of actors from the show, the character's vibes dwindle with each actor bringing in a different representation of the character.

Weeks ago, reports about Vishal Karwal's exit from the mythological show Paramavatar Shri Krishna was doing rounds. Now, the latest buzz is that the actor has been replaced by Himanshu Malhotra to play the role of lord Vishnu.

The actor who is all geared up for his debut in the mythological genre was last featured in Shankar Jai Kishan. Commenting about him stepping into the shoes of Vishal Karwal's character, Himanshu said to a leading tabloid, "This is a stepping stone to explore myself as an artiste. The idea is to do something, which has not been attempted before. It's time to move beyond daily soaps now; I have done that for the past 10 years."

Himanshu is elated to play the role, but initially found it challenging to get into the skin of the character of a different genre. He said, "As it happens with any new character, it was slightly awkward in the beginning, but once you take a leap of faith and surrender to the character, you start enjoying it. Also, I believe that mythology helps you connect with yourself. I am looking forward to the experience."

Vishal left the show due to date issues which affected his availability for the show. However, this paved way for Himanshu to bag the role with the deal working in his favour. He said, "I have no clue why the other artiste quit the show. If it's because of the number of days utilised for the shoot, well, that suits me. It will give me an opportunity to focus on my other projects. Also, I don't feel that I am stepping into anyone's shoes, since during the mock shoot, I presented my own version of the character. Fortunately, everyone loved it."
