Comedy shows have evolved over the years in the Indian entertainment industry with exploration of content that has enhanced the audiences' outlook towards the same. Content and actors are the fuel for the comedy shows to survive.

As Kapil Sharma recently announced his comeback show, which was touted to be launched in Diwali, the latest reports in a leading daily suggest that the comeback of the comedienne has been delayed. The show is expected to be launched in mid-January or February in 2019.

According to the reports, Kapil is still looking out for a producer for the show, and considering the financial status of his production house after his Punjabi film tanked at the box office, the comedienne had to close down his offices in Mumbai.
Although, the CEO of Banijay Asia has come forward to produce the show, sources state that even if the producer for the show gets fixed, other details like the content and the team is not finalized for the show.

"Not only that, no sets will be available in Mumbai till December. Right now, several reality shows like Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), which will continue till November-end, India's Got Talent, Love Me India and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, etc are being shot. Super Dancer is yet to start but they have already started building their set. Also, three Marathi reality show sets have been erected, so there is no space for Kapil for his set," said a source to the leading daily.

Furthermore, the channel that will air the show wants a pool of episodes from Kapil Sharma before the launch of the show. About the same, the source added, "After their experience last time, they don't want to take any chances. They want Kapil to be ready with at least half-a-dozen episodes before they go on air. That is one of the reasons the channel is not announcing anything yet."
