Indian television has been constantly evolving with realistic content that reflects the society and its norms that binds the people as a whole. With the metamorphosis of Indian television from regressive to progressive content, the survival of television shows is predominantly inclined on the ideologies of the masses that is often under the dominion of the long-established ethnicity.

Recently, Colors popular show Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka has been raking good TRPs while also being ridiculed simultaneously for whitewashing the issue of extramarital affairs and justifying the same. The unsolicited content of the show has added to its discomfiture. Reports suggest that the show will be shutting down soon owing to its controversial storyline, which got trolled for depicting infidelity in a good light.

However, Drashti Dhami who plays one of the leads in the show has rubbished the rumours of the show going off air by the end of December.

Commenting about the same, Drashti said to a leading entertainment portal, "We've not heard anything, and I don't think there's any such (thing) to be honest. There's nothing like that happening. (So) I don't want to comment anything as of now. It's not going for sure! At least from our end, that is what we know. We would have been informed or else. Also, December is far! And we know how TV works."

On being questioned about the veracity of the news, Shakti Arora, who plays the male lead in the show replied, "I have no news about it. I don't know anything about it. I don't want to make assumptions or bring any thoughts in my mind right now. If it has to go it will go. (But) Nothing heard from the production house."
