Why Television industry is still silent about the #MeToo movement?

Like Bollywood actresses who are coming up with their stories of sexual harassment, should we assume that sexual misconduct does not prevail in the Television industry as no Television actress has opened up about it yet?

#MeToo movement which started in the West with Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and many big names coming under the scissors of sexual harassment, a couple of years later, it has started in Bollywood and South industry too.

They always say ‘Better late than never'- this phrase can aptly go with the current #MeToo movement in India.

While names like Nana Patekar, Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Rohit Roy, Kailash Kher, comedians Kanan Gill, Utsav Chakraborty, and many others are emerging with each passing day, we wonder why the Television industry still silent about this?

Like Bollywood actresses who are coming up with their stories of sexual harassment, should we assume that sexual misconduct does not prevail in the Television industry as no Television actress has opened up about it yet?

We know that both the industries are different from each other but the work pattern somewhere is similar. Casting couch has been accepted by many actresses so why not sexual harassment?

With the wave currently causing a storm, Television actresses are most welcome if they have such stories. After all, it's not a woman VS a man, it's always a woman standing for a woman.

We are pretty sure that someday Television actresses will take a stand and come up and openly talk about the sexual misconduct that happens in their industry.

Navneet Nishan has set an example for all those ladies out there as she opened up about Alok Nath who tried to assault her during the shoot of the Television serial Tara.

We hope many more Television celebs will address the issue.
