SS Rajamouli's directorial effort in ‘Magadheera', a film that was released in 2009 proved to be a film that has been labeled as a game changer by many film critics. Magadheera not only established Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja as the next superstar of the Telugu Film Industry and Tollywood, the movie also became the seed for SS Rajamouli and gave the master director, the confidence to eventually craft his magnum opus Baahubali. But an interesting fact has now come forward, almost 8 years after the release of the film and that is, the fight sequence of Magadheera was originally planned with Chiranjeevi in mind and not Ram Charan Teja. Baahubali writer and father of SS Rajamouli, Vijayendra Prasad made this revelation at an event recently.

Vijayendra Prasad, recently speaking at an event revealed that after Simhadri became a success, the media asked Rajamouli when he would do a film with Chiranjeevi. The veteran writer further said that Rajamouli replied that it was a boon to work with an actor like Chiranjeevi and he was waiting for an audience with the mega star. Prasad further said that Chiranjeevi did call him and his son SS Rajamouli and graciously asked them to do a film with him. They went to his place, narrated a script to him and also the highly popular fight sequence in Magadheera in which Ram Charan takes on 100 of the fiercest enemy warriors but for some reason Rajamouli and his father could not work with the Mega Star himself but went n to the film with his son- Ram Charan Teja.
