Kamal Haasan's latest show ‘Bigg Boss Tamil' has not gone down well with the group ‘Hindu Makkal Katchi'. The group had earlier protested against the show outside the channel's office in Chennai as they claim that the show is against Tamil culture. It is also being reported that the group is targeting the actor Kamal Haasan primarily because they claim that the actor is not secular in his criticism when it comes to religion. Omkar Balaji, who is a member of Hindu Makkal Katchi said, "Kamal Haasan never criticizes any other cultures or religious problems. He always criticizes all issues concerning Hinduism, including the controversy surrounding beef or terrorism. He is not secular in his criticism."

The group's Founder and State President, Arjun Sampath further accused the makers of 'Bigg Boss Tamil' for deliberately including Juliana as one of the contestants for the show. Juliana had raised slogans against the Modi Government during the Jallikattu controversy, a few months ago. The group has demanded Kamal Haasan to stop hosting the show or they will file a petition in Madras High court. The same group had targeted the actor earlier this year in March accusing him of making hateful comments against Hindu epic Mahabharata. Arjun Sampath further said that the actor has a great influence in Tamil Nadu due to his legacy but he always makes anti-Hindu comments and praises Dravidian leaders. Now it remains to be seen how Kamal Haasan reacts to the Hindu group. So far no statement has been given by the actor on this issue.
