Musician Yuvan Shankar Raja has turned producer with his upcoming film ‘Kolayuthir Kaalam' starring Nayanthara in the lead role. The film is being directed by Chakri Toleti and will be produced under Yuvan's banner ‘YSR Films'. According to sources, the film has a women-centric story with an ensemble cast. The shooting of the film is currently underway in the United Kingdom.

Latest reports suggest that the film will be remade in Hindi and will by directed by Chakri himself. "It is true that Kolayuthir... is being remade in Hindi. We have sold the remake rights to the famous, Pooja Entertainment," a spokesperson from YSR Films revealed. Any other details about the Tamil version of the film are being kept under wraps. The Hindi version will star Prabhu Deva, Tamannaah and Bhumika Chawla in crucial roles. Tamannaah will reprise Nayanthara's character in the Hindi version, Prabhu Deva will play the antagonist in the film.

The Tamil version's poster was released last year on Nayanthara's birthday. Yuvan will be composing the music for the film besides producing it along with Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. Cory Geryak has been assigned the role of cinematographer while the process of editing will be done by Rameshwar S Bhagat.

Chakri Toleti will debut in Bollywood with this film and it remains to be seen how audiences react to his work as female-oriented movies have a tough time at the box office. These kinds of films require a strong script and powerful performances to drive audiences to the theaters and generate money.
