Simone Biles bravely came forward and made a shocking revelation on Twitter as she revealed that she was allegedly sexually assaulted by USA gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. Simone Biles now joins a plethora of many other gymnasts, including McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas who also came forward and opened up about the sexual assault they face by Nassar while they were under his care.

Simone's statement read, "I too am one of the many survivors that were sexually abused by Larry Nassar. Please believe me when I say it was a lot harder to first speak those words out loud than it is now to put them on paper. There are many reasons that I have been reluctant to share my story, but I know now it is not my fault." She further revealed, " This behaviour is completely unacceptable, disgusting, and abusive, especially coming from someone whom I was TOLD to trust."

Even though Simone came forward with her scary experience, she yet wants things to remain private. She said, As I continue to work through the pain, I kindly ask everyone to respect my privacy. This is a process, and one that I need more time to work through."

Nassar has been reportedly accused of sexual assault by more than 100 women and of which many were gymnasts. He even pleaded guilty to seven counts of sexual misconduct. He has also be sentenced to 60 years in prison on a separate charge of child porn.

With allegation against Nassar, it is proved that the entertainment industry isn't the only place that sexual misconduct has been going on. With the #MeToo movement various men and women in all aspects of life have come forward and opened up about the terrible experiences they've had in the past that they've kept secret for so long.
