In a recent interview with Time Out Magazine, British actor Idris Elba has revealed that there was a time in his life when he was homeless, when he didn’t have a roof over his head.

In a recent interview with Time Out Magazine, British actor Idris Elba has revealed that there was a time in his life when he was homeless when he didn't have a roof over his head. The actor also said that in those times, part of his daily struggle was to find a place to spend the night as he did not have anywhere to put up. The actor while talking about his past said that he faced homelessness once and it just seems bizarre that young people are getting into this perpetual cycle.

The actor further in the interview re-iterated the fact that he lived in the country of England, which is proudly called 'The Great Britain' by the Brits, then why people living in the country should go through this? They should not be facing these kinds of problems if The Great Britain is that great indeed. 

The 44-year-old actor is involved in the acting business since 1995 but it was not until 2002 when he got his first starring role. The actor rose to prominence with his role in the acclaimed TV series 'The Wire'. In the series, the actor played the role of Stringer Bell, a drug lord, operating in the American city of Baltimore. Although he actor sports a strong British accent, the actor was praised for convincingly pulling off a street American accent. His performance in 'The Wire' is what turned him into s star that he is today. 

The actor presently can be seen in the newly released movie, The Dark Tower, which has been directed by Nikolaj Arcel and star Matthew McConaughey in the role of the antagonist.
