The new Spiderman movie was only made possible when Sony, who previously owned the copyrights of the character made a historic and fan pleasing deal with Marvel.

After successfully relaunching the Spiderman franchise with 'Spiderman: Homecoming' with Tom Holland playing the re-invented Peter Parker, the boy superhero called Spiderman, Sony and Marvel may already be planning the sequel to their hugely successful Spiderman re-invention and for this movie Sony and Marvel are planning to retain Jon Watts, the director who helmed the hugely successful 'Spiderman: Homecoming'. If the reports from the Hollywood Reporter are to be believed then, Jon Watts may well be into the advanced stages of negotiations to play the role of director for the sequel of the movie. 

Marvel and Sony have already slotted a date July 5 of 2019 for the release of their untitled project. For the sequel of the movie, Tom Holland will be returning to reprise the role of Peter Parker, who is a sophomore in high school trying to adjust to regular Brooklyn life after his adventures with the Avengers.

Tom Holland's appearance as Spiderman, although was short but didn't fail to please critic and the fans of the character. Tom Holland, before the sequel of the movie, will be seen in the third Installment of the Avengers series 'Avenges: Infinity War', which is all set to hit the silver screens on May 4, 2018.
