Robert Downey Jr. to QUIT his character of Tony Stark and Marvel Cinematic Universe altogether

Robert Downey Jr. would be reprising the role of Tony Stark for the eighth time in the upcoming Avenger ensemble move, which is slated to hit the big screens in June, next year.

According to the reports from Variety, actor Robert Downey Jr. who kick-started the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his film 'Iron Man' all the way back in 2008, has come forward and said that he would like to exit the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his character of the genius, eccentric billionaire Tony Stark and the superhero avatar of Iron Man, before it gets embarrassing for him.  

The 52-year-old actor Robert Downey Jr. would be reprising the role of Tony Stark for the eighth time in the upcoming Avenger ensemble move, which is slated to hit the big screens in June, next year. The movie will be titled 'Avengers: Infinity War' and would come in two parts with second of the movie slated to release sometime after the release of the first part. The actor in an interview with movie journalist said that he could have stopped after the first 'Avengers' movie and for him its always about people and opportunities, like the Russos, brother Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, who directed the Avenger movies. And he totally adores for the same reason. 

Downey Jr. said that for every time he has to reprise the role of Tony Stark he has to start all over again although he has a solid base to work from. The actor further says that he just never want to blow it for the last six or seven (MCU movies) he has done by dropping the ball because he decided to go do it one more time. The actor further said that he just wants to hang up his jersey before it's embarrassing.
