Kim Kardashian recently won a whopping 2.8 million from the fast-fashion company Missguided in a lawsuit after she claimed that the company used her "persona and trademarks" to sell replicas of her outfits by tagging her on Instagram.

But whether Missguided's Instagram behaviour violated trademark law was not known as the company didn't respond to her lawsuit, leading to a loss. The default judgement of the judge demanded Missguided to pay Kardashian West $2.7 million in damages and $59,600 in attorney fees. The company has also been ordered to cease using Kardashian West's trademarks in its sale marketing, or distribution of their products.

Kim Kardashian lawsuit claimed that Missguided profited off her image and brand. The lawsuit also included images from Missguided's website and Instagram that showed Kim and her various outfits. The lawsuit states, "Missguided's use of Plaintiffs' marks is likely to cause consumers to mistakenly believe that Plaintiffs are associated with Missguided, or that they sponsor or endorse Missguided and its websites."

Kim had also earlier voiced out her frustration of fashion brands ripping off her work. Kim said, "It's devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas."

Kim was recently making headlines and also received severe backlash for her new shapewear line titled Kimono. Many Netizens and also the Japanese community slammed her for cultural appropriation and further led to a huge controversy. But seems like that has all come to an end as Kim recently announced that her new shapewear line will no longer be called Kimono nad will be launched with a new name.
