Gigi Hadid almost missed falling flat on her face outside her NYC apartment when she was leaving for the Women of the Year Award. She was forced to grab hold of her sister Bella Hadid's hand as the heel of her shoe got tangled in her long gown.

It was a big night for the supermodel as was being honoured as the Supernova at the star-studded bash as she won the Glamour's Women of the Year 2017. Bella being the awesome younger sister that she is was able to catch her fall just in time before hitting the pavement.

Gigi Hadid stunned in a golden gold lace flowing Zuhair Murad FW 2016 dress and her metallic Christian Louboutin pumps. Her makeup was spot on and she looked just gorgeous. Present at the occasion with her and Bella Hadid was her mother dearest, Yolanda Hadid along with her younger brother Anwar Hadid. However, boyfriend Zayn, who she has just celebrated two years with, wasn't in attendance at the event.

Serena Williams presented the award to Gigi, but before accepting it Gigi hugged Serena Williams a little too hard, as a result, she had some of the tennis star's makeup on her face during her speech. So cute right! Even Serena admitted, she would only ever leave her newborn for Gigi. She said, "Gigi you are one of the few people on this planet I would leave my baby for-for one night-but for you, it shows how much you mean to me. And I want you to imagine the effect you have on the world."

Prior to receiving the award Gigi also stated, "I mean, I've heard so many good things about the event and every year people show up just to hear what the women have to say and it's always such a powerful and emotional night." She further stated, "So I'm so excited and it's such an honour. It's kind of crazy I'm still kind of surprised."
