Chris Evans: It's "Beyond Misplaced" to Glibly criticize Kimmel's Health Care monologue

On Wednesday, Chris Evans called out former congressman and now radio host Joe Walsh after he mocked the famous talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who revealed the news about his newborn son’s heart surgery.

On Wednesday, Chris Evans called out former congressman and now radio host Joe Walsh after he mocked the famous talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who revealed the news about his newborn son’s heart surgery.

Jimmy Kimmel, at his talk show on Monday, opened up the show with a powerful and an emotional monolog, where he talked about his newborn son’s open-heart surgery, just a few days after his birth. Kimmel also took the opportunity to cite his opinion on former president Barrack Obama’s cheap and affordable healthcare act that the Trump administration Is trying to repeal and replace.

Kimmel while talking about the healthcare act said that before 2014, any newborn baby with congenital heart disease like his son had a narrow chance od getting health insurance because the newborn has a pre-existing condition. To this, Joe Walsh tweeted a glib saying that Kimmel’s sad story doesn’t obligate him or anybody else to pay for someone’s healthcare.

These comments made by Joe Walsh, immediately face a backlash when twitter users criticized his comments in unison saying that he crossed the line. Among these twitter users was Captain America star who does not shy away from making his opinions known and also isn't afraid of wading into social media debates, including with former KKK leader David Duke.

Chris Evans also took to his twitter account, to denounce Walsh’s statement, saying that although its fair to have opposing views on health care, but our humanity should guide us when, where and how to engage. The actor then called out Joe’s statement as “beyond misplaced”.
