The Oscar Winning actor Casey Affleck will be honored at the 52nd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival with the Festival President's Award. The actor who picked up an Oscar in the category of "Best Actor" for his role in ‘Manchester by the Sea', will be presenting a screening of David Lowery's upcoming film ‘A Ghost Story', which chronicles the tale of a recently deceased man who returns home as a white-sheeted ghost desperate to reconnect with his still-living wife.
The producers of ‘A Ghost Story'; Toby Halbrooks and James M. Johnston will join the actor at the fest. The film festival that is hosted in the bohemian spa town in the Czech Republic gives its President's Award as a special honor, festival organizers said, to "actors, directors, and producers who have contributed in a fundamental way to the development of contemporary world cinema."
The actor as of now is currently in post-production phase of the film titled ‘Light of My Wife'. This film will also mark his directorial debut in Hollywood. The actor is also set to star in ‘Light of My Wife', which he wrote himself. The movie revolves around a father (played by Affleck) and his daughter, who lives on the outskirts of a society destabilized by a deadly pandemic.
