Beyonce is once again made history! Beyonce will be permanently displayed at the National Portrait Gallery's collection in Washington. The portrait that has made a place for its self in the coveted spot features a picture of Queen Bey from last year's Vogue September issue, which was captured by the young famed photographer Tyler Mitchell. The portrait holds importance as it is the first time a black person has shot the cover of Vogue in its 125-year history.

Tyler took to his social media to share the happy news and wrote, "A year ago today we broke the flood gates open. Since then it was important to spend the whole year running through them making sure every piece of the gate was knocked down. And now I'm glad to share this picture is being acquired into the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery's permanent collection."

Even members at the gallery are beyond excited as they wait for the portrait of Queen Bey to grace the gallery walls. They even commented on Tyler's saying, "We look forward to adding this new work to our collection!" Even the Associate Curator of Photographs Dr. Leslie Ureña in a statement stated, "We are delighted to acquire this magnificent portrait of Beyoncé." The portrait will feature Queen Bey dressed in a gold sequin Valentino dress, with her hair braided into cornrows. Beyonce will also be seen flaunting the extravagant spiked fascinator on her head.
