Hollywood stars are just like us! Or maybe they were once like us before they became our favourite icon. Here are a few celebs who worked really hard and sometimes even overtime to put money in the bank.

Not all Hollywood celebs were born famous. Which means that they to once had to pay bills with normal jobs like shucking oysters or even picking mantis, or simply dancing outside a restaurant in a costume. Here are a few celebs who began their careers from the very bottom working all the way till the top.

Brad Pitt: Brad Pitt who was studying journalism at the University of Missouri, dropped out of college to pursue acting. His very first paid "acting gig" was dancing outside an El Pollo Loco restaurant while dressed in a chicken suit to just attract customers.

Ellen DeGeneres: Before Ellen DeGeneres could become a successful comedian, actress, awards show host and daytime talk show maven, she shucked oysters in her home state of Louisiana.

Channing Tatum: Well if you didn't know, Channing Tatum's Magic Mike movies were based on his early days as a male stripper. He dropped out of college at 19 and made money off stripping while trying to break into the acting world.

Taylor Swift: Taylor Swift's spent her entire childhood living on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania. And as she was small and not strong enough to help on the farm, her job was to remove Mantis pods hidden in the branches of the trees.

Jennifer Aniston: Jennifer Anniston got famous with her role as Rachel Green on Friends. And while she worked in off-Broadway productions, she made money doing all sorts of odd part-time jobs. Her least successful job was in telemarketing. She said, "I was awful, selling timeshares in the Poconos and upsetting people terribly.

Beyonce: Beyonce is now one of the most famous singers in Hollywood. And as she dances and sings her heart out at every opportunity that she gets, it took a lot of time for her to get famous. She said she worked at her mom's salon, "From six to nine years old, I would sing and put on little shows by myself for the women who wanted a hot press and curl and some good conversation. I helped sweep hair off the floor for tips to pay for my season pass to Six Flags."

Miley Cyrus: Miley Cyrus started out by making cash working at her dad Billy Ray Cyrus' concerts. She was paid $10 to go around, after the concert picking up bras and underwears that had been thrown at her dad during his concert.

Madonna: Madonna in her early days worked at the Times Square outpost of Dunkin Donuts. She revealed that she was fired after she squirted some jelly on a customer.
Meghan Markle: Before her acting break in Suits and before she became a princess, Meghan Markle was a professional calligrapher, doing calligraphy for weddings and events.

Cardi B: Before Cardi B became a stripper, she worked as a full-time at a supermarket. she was fired for giving a coworker a discount on a purchase. She became a stripper after a manager told her she had a nice body.

Tom Cruise: Before Tom Cruise could become of the leading men in Hollywood, he used to take up customers luggage to their hotel room as a bellhop. It is reported that he also thought about becoming a Catholic priest, but that didn't work out for him.

Dwayne Johnson: Dwayne Johnson is now one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, but he had a humble beginning. His first job was at 13, as a dishwasher.
