The veteran action star, Dolph Lundgren is making his return to the movies by joining the cast of the upcoming superhero movie, Aquaman. Dolph Lundgren who has been critically acclaimed for his performances in movies ranging from Rocky IV to the recent Expendables franchise.

James Wan is sitting in the director’s chair for DC Comics’ underwater-breathing superhero movie. Aqauman is the big-budget tentpole movie from DC and is eyeing a May production start in Australia. The movie will star Jason Momoa as the title character, and the film's cast further includes Amber Heard playing the role of Mera, Aquaman's royal love interest; Nicole Kidman playing the role of Aquaman’s mother; and Patrick Wilson starring as Orm, a villain who also happens to be Aquaman’s half-brother. The movie will also star Willeam Dafoe, who will be playing the character of Dr. Vulko, aqauman’s advisor. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will play Black Manta, who is touted to be the main antagonist of the movie. Temuera Morrison will be playing Aquaman’s father.

Dolph Lundgren made his debut in the acting scene with the James Bond movie, tiled, ‘A View to a Kill’ in 1985, but it was his Soviet boxer Drago in 1985's Rocky IV that punched his impression in the pop culture. He-Man in 1987’s Masters of the Universe and playing Marvel Comics antihero Frank Castle in 1989’s The Punisher are among his notable roles that he played.
