Shashi Tharoor has also been accused of being cruel towards his wife.

Mr. Tharoor is the sole person to be named in the charge sheet, which extends for over 3,000-pages.

Reacting to the allegations, in a series of tweets, Tharoor said:

"1/2 I have taken note of the filing of this preposterous charge sheet &intend to contest it vigorously. No one who knew Sunanda believes she would ever have committed suicide, let alone abetment on my part. If this is conclusion arrived at after 4+ yrs of investigation,

it does not speak well of the methods or motivations of the Delhi Police. In oct 17, the Law Officer made a statement in the Delhi high court that they have not found anything against anyone & now in 6 months they say that I have abetted a suicide. unbelievable!"

He also announced that he is desperately trying to shift his focus on work and other commitments while others try to pull him down and relish their distractions.

And lastly, he condemned the trolls who mock his vocabulary, saying he is going off Twitter for a while.

He said, "Staying off @Twitter for a while -- one encounters too much epicaricacy!"

A 51 yr old, Sunanda Pushkar was found dead on January 17, 2014, in her hotel suite, just a few days after she went public, alleging Tharoor to have an affair with a Pakistani journalist. It has also been said that just a day before Sunanda passed away, she talked to a journalist and asked her to meet up as she wanted to make a big reveal
