The US Secret Service requested a Congress intervention as they will apparently hit a compulsory cap on salaries and overtime in the upcoming months as they don't have adequate funds to cover the cost of protecting the President Donald Trump and his extended first family.

About 1,100 employees will have to work overtime above the statutory pay caps during the remaining months in 2017.

The luxury spending funds are to last through December, but the security cost involved in protecting the first family has strained almost all the funds out of the Secret Service, Local Government, and the Coast Guard because of the frequent Presidential travel trips for business and exotic family vacations.

Trump's entourage includes 42 people, which was 31 under Obama, comprising of the first lady, 4 adult son, daughters, son in law and a large group of head officers.

The cost of Presidential tours of Trump and the first lady, Melania Trump is too high. They frequently fly to their golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and Club Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, which has been an add on to the taxpayer's burden and concern for the government.

Cummings released a statement saying, "The hardworking men and women of the Secret Service put their lives on the line every day, and it is a travesty that they are not being paid for the hours they work. Congress cannot stand on the sidelines and complain - we need to act to ensure that Secret Service agents get every penny they deserve, period."
