The US President Donald Trump finally spoke on the Roy Moore controversy and his response is definitely not in the good taste.

When Trump was asked to say something about Moore who has been facing allegations of sexually assaulting many women, Trump said: "Yeah, I'll be talking about him. I can tell you one thing for sure: we don't need a liberal person in there, a Democrat - [Doug] Jones."

He added, "[Moore] denies it. Look, he denies it. I mean, if you look at what is really going on, and you look at all the things that have happened over the last 48 hours, he totally denies it. He says it didn't happen. You're talking about ... he said 40 years ago this did not happen."

He also left open the possibility that he would be campaigning with Moore in future.

Not even that, Trump went on to describe Doug Jones, who is Moore's opponent, as "terrible on crime". Talking about Jones, Trump said: "I've looked at his record. It's terrible on crime. It's terrible on the border. It's terrible on the military."

These statements were a total contradiction of the previous statements passed by the press secretary of White House, Sarah Sanders, who said if the allegations on Moore were true, he should "step aside" and that Trump would support the decision of cutting off all the support for his campaign.
