Nationalist demonstrators in the numbers of Tens of Thousands marched through Warsaw marking Poland's independence day. The people demonstrated by throwing a large number of red-smoke bombs and carrying banners and placards with slogans such as "white Europe of brotherly nations".

According to the police, an estimate of 60,000 people partook in the event, which was reportedly one of the biggest gathering of far-right activists in Europe in recent times.

Demonstrators covered their faces and chanted "Pure Poland, white Poland!" and "Refugees get out!."

They also went ahead and hung a banner over a bridge that read:

"Pray for Europe must be white," and "Pray for an Islamic Holocaust."

National Radical Camp is one of the main organizations behind the nationalist march, which has previously conducted protests against gay rights, Muslim immigration, the EU and many other things which undermine the Polish Catholic values, according to them.

While the group doesn't enjoy a lot of support, the critics argue that the government of Poland is in a way responsible for striking a nationalistic tone and linking immigrants to crime and disease, therefore fostering an atmosphere of intolerance and xenophobia which in turn encouraged all this.
