Vidya Balan who will grace the silver screen after her gap of two years will be seen in the multi-starrer film Mission Mangal featuring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. The team is also seen at various events and is seen promoting the movie full swing. Vidya in her recent interview opened up about her career and also admitted that she was in fact quite overwhelmed and nervous about the concept of space in her upcoming movie.

On being asked if she as a child ever wanted to be an astronaut, she said, "The closest I have come to that is being on the sets of this film. In fact, I was nervous about spouting all the technical jargon because these concepts were so alien to me. I spent hours reading and watching the videos Jagan (Shakti, director) had given me for my prep."

Even after Vidya returned to the silver screen with Tumhari Sulu, she also starred in her first Tamil film. Though she was seen in a cameo role in the Tamil remake of Shoojit Sircar's Pink titled Nerkonda Paarvai, she revealed that she did the role out of her love for the late Sridevi. She said, "I worshipped Sridevi as an actress and for the love I have for her and my affection for Boney Kapoor (who produced the film), I agreed to a special appearance."

Helmed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal is set for release on August 15 and will also be seen clashing with John Abraham's Batla House at the box-office.
