Actress Kangana Ranaut is in the headlines due to her bold statements and has given some explosive interviews in the last few days. Kangana is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Simran' which has been directed by Hansal Mehta. The actress feels that the narrative in the films needs to change as roles of female characters often revolve around male characters. "We have always had female characters where they cry for the men who left them. The roles have always revolved around the male narrative, but this time Hansal Mehta has treated a woman like a human being in Simran," she said.

Kangana feels that she is an integral part of Bollywood after winning three National awards for her performances and has received box office success as well. However, her last film Rangoon did not work at the box office and she learnt a lot from the film's failure. It was like a reality check for her and she became self-aware that having too many expectations isn't good. Kangana feels that whenever a woman becomes successful, there is always a negative talk around it. The actress wants to change this mentality which is prevalent in the film industry.

Kangana recently targeted Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, Aditya Pancholi, Adhayan Suman and Rakesh Roshan in her interview with India TV. The actress' explosive interview received a lot of polarising reactions from people in the film industry. Her upcoming film ‘Simran' is scheduled to release in cinemas across the world on September 22.
