Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has taken the box-office by storm as the film in just a week is inching closer towards Rs 150 crore mark. Fans just cannot stop gushing about Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, but actually, Tara Sutaria was the original choice for the film but backed out of the movie due to date issues.

Tara who made her debut in Bollywood with Punit Malhotra's Student of the year 2, was asked if she regrets losing the film to Kiara. Tara said, "It's a remake of a hit film so it was bound to do well." She was also asked about misogynist tone of Kabir Singh she was of the opinion that being a woman and a human, she does have a certain social responsibility, as an artist, she has artistic freedom and right to express it as she pleases. She also stated that it is on the audience as to how they interpret it. She also revealed that she is a fan of both Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.

Kabir Singh is a remake of super hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy, where Vijay Deverkonda was seen playing the lead in the original and the film hit the silver screens on June 21, 2019. And though the film is doing well at the box-office, it is also receiving backlash for its misogynist tone.

On the work front, Tara will next be seen in Milap Zaveri's Marjaavaan along with Sidharth Malhotra and RX100, she will be seen opposite Ahan Shetty.
