Singer Sona Mohapatra and comedian Mallika Dua got into a bad verbal fight on social media about filmmaker Arghya Basu who passed away after committing suicide earlier this month. Sona's best friend and filmmaker Nishtha Jain had accused Arghya Basu of sexually assaulting her. And now Mallika lashed out at Sona for her missing reaction, post-Basu's sad demise.

She took to Twitter and tweeted, "Hey @sonamohapatra, missing your toxic activism regarding the suicide of Arghya Basu. Accused of harassment by your BFF Nishtha Jain last year. Your two bits are conveniently missing. Please oblige in your characteristic uncouth style." Check out the series of tweets, below posted by Mallika:

Sona too took to Facebook and even who was mighty upset and stated how Arghya Basu taking his life is nothing to do with her and it may be an indication of his own guilt? Check out her entire Facebook post here:

Just to give you some context, Mallika is the daughter of celebrated journalist and media personality Vinod Dua who was accused of sexual harassment during the wave of #MeToo movement that began last year. And though at that time Vinod Dua firmly denied the allegations against him, his daughter Mallika stood by him and defended him, a move which angered her fans as well as many netizens. She was even criticised for playing the role of a feminist comedian on social media before conveniently defending her father.

Mohapatra had also called out other personalities who defended the #MeToo accused. She slammed Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam who defended music director Anu Mallik, who was also accused by several women of sexual harassment, a claim which was also backed by singer Alisha Chinai. She herself even accused singer Kailash Kher of misbehaviour and harassment.
