Despite controversy's blue-eyed girl Kangana Ranaut's latest release; Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, is doing exceptionally well at the box office, Kangana has attracted fire from several quarters. For one, director Krish Jagarlmudi was upset over her claim that she had directed over 70% of the film.

And now, in another instance writer, Apurva Asrani has lashed out at the ‘Fashion' actress. Apurva Asrani and Kangana had a public falling out over the writing credits during the filming of Hansal Mehta's Simran.

In a cryptic tweet; Apurva has written," You can... Hijack the passion project of a senior director Hire another director, but fire him after he's completed the film... Claim credit as the film's director... Even have the trade & press support your evil shenanigans...but still make a flop film.."

In the tweet; the writer is referring to Ketan Mehta who had announced in 2016 that he wanted to do a film on the Jhansi Ki Rani with Kangana. However, Kangana moved ahead with the character and chose Krish for the film, resulting in much bitterness.

Apurva had alleged that Kangana tried to discredit his work in Simran. He had also shown his dissent in the fact that the actress' credit of 'additional dialogue and story writer' appeared before the main writer's credit in the film's teaser.

Calling Kangana an "insecure"; Apurva further claimed, that just like Manikarnika, Kangana had made Simran all about her, by "deleting other actors lines."

He also tweeted," I wrote #Simran with a passion similar to the man in the video. But an insecure #KanganaRanaut started deleting other actor's lines on set & made it about her. Krish explains in frustration how she cut out historical characters from #Manikarnika too."

Reacting to his tweets; was the filmmaker and former actress Pooja Bhatt. Apurva further went on to criticize Kangana by replying to Pooja's Tweet with," Her game is brutal. She first plays the victim & wins your trust. You give your all, sacrifice all other work, because she seems lovely. Then when you're ready with a film you nurtured/created, she has you thrown out. Then she uses the press & trolls to character assassinate you."

Manikarnika became the topic of discussion after actor Sonu Sood walked out of the film due to Kangana Ranaut's tantrums; which was followed by the exit of the film's first director Krish, leading to Kangana taking up the reins of directing the film.
