Actor Sidharth Malhotra has managed to make his mark in the film industry in the last few years. He debuted in Bollywood with Karan Johar's ‘Student of the Year'. The actor has featured in a variety of different genres in the last few years and he recently interacted with the media about his journey in the film industry so far. "I am hungry for content more than the money. If your filmography is interesting and has enough variations and you are not trying to sell something typical, whether it does well or not is secondary, what matters is exploring new things," he said. Sidharth went on to say that he never does films for money and his aim has always been to keep his filmography as meaningful as possible.

His latest film ‘Ittefaq' has received good reviews and is doing decent business at the box office considering its genre. The film is a murder mystery in which Sidharth has shared screen space with Akshaye Khanna and Sonakshi Sinha. The film has been adapted from Yash Chopra's film of the same name which released in 1969 and featured Rajesh Khanna. Talking about the film's box office, Sidharth said that he was aware that the film wouldn't join the Rs 100 crore club. The actor was earlier not sure as there were date issues when the film was earlier offered to him in 2014 but eventually, things fell into place and he signed the project. The actor is now moving on to his new projects.
