Sanjay Dutt who has stepped into production, produced his first film, a Marathi film titled Baba, directed by Raj R Gupta. And though fans were excited by just looking at the poster and the teaser, now that the trailer is dropped, it has taken the excitement to a whole new level.

During the trailer launch, Sanjay Dutt was asked about the roles he would love to essay at his age. He said, "I can't dance around trees and with girls. I would like to do some great characters like how Mel Gibson and Denzel Washington do. I would like to do that kind of characters. It has been a long journey from Rocky till now and I learnt a lot as I have worked with a lot of big people."

On being asked about him backing a Marathi film, Sanjay Dutt said, that how everyone wants to do all kinds of cinema and are not restricting ourselves to only content-driven films. He also stated that he understands the content is very important but so is entertainment. He also revealed that he didn't want to rule out working in Marathi films and if he was offered a good role by a director in Marathi cinema he would do it.

Talking about Munna Bhai 3, Sanjay said that he prays to God for it to happens soon. But Raj Kumar Hirani is currently charged under #MeToo and will not be able to work on any movies until proven innocent.

Sanjay Dutt's Marathi venture stars Deepak Dobriyal, Nandita Dhuri, Abhijeet Khandkekar, Spruha Joshi and Chittaranjan Giri in its lead star cast. The film is slated for release on August 2, 2019.
