Sanjay Dutt to get his passport back

Sanjay Dutt can now fly abroad for the shooting of his movies. Special TADA court has ordered release of the actor's passport.

Sanjay Dutt had applied for the return of his passport after serving his sentence in the 1993 Mumbai blast case. The special TADA court has allowed his application and will be returning his passport soon.His lawyer Subhash Jadhav said that the prosecuting agency told Court that it has no objection to his plea. Sanjay Dutt was arrested on April 19, 1993, for possession and destruction of an AK-56 rifle, which was part of the cache of arms and explosives which landed in India prior to the serial blasts of March 1993.Dutt was sentenced to six years’ prison term by the TADA court, which the Supreme Court later reduced to five years. Sanjay Dutt has been recently released from the jail since he has completed his time of punishment in jail. When asked about his experience in the jail, he said he tried being as positive as possible, and this positivity was inculcated by being involved in some or the other activity in jail, these activities involved writing shayaris to being an RJ for the jail.
