While Salman Khan's Tubelight has got a really mixed reaction from the critics as some critics have called this movie a beautiful body without any soul, it seems that Bhai magic is still working on the fans.

Talking about the first-day collection, Salman Khan's Tubelight made estimated Rs. 21 crores second to only Baahubali 2 which collected Rs 40 crores. The movie opened with 60 to 70% opening in North India and with a long weekend because of EID the movie is expected to easily cross 75 crores by the end of this long weekend.

But is it that great of a collection if we consider that movie has been released in 4350 screens just in India and 1200 screens in abroad as well. Talking about numbers earned by Salman Khan movies, this official remake of Little Boy failed to pass the previous Salman Khan movies in first-day box office collection. While it grasped more than Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and Salman's famous sequel Dabangg 2, the movie couldn't pass these six Salman Bhai's movies in terms of first-day box office collection.

  • Prem Ratan Dhan Payo- Rs 40.35 crores
  • Sultan- Rs 36.54 crores
  • Ek Tha Tiger- Rs 32.93 crores
  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan- Rs 27.25 crores
  • Kick- Rs 26.40 crores
  • Bodyguard- Rs 21.51 crores

Well, someone has rightly said that My greatest competition is me and Salman Bhai has lost this one with Tubelight. Tubelight is the remake of 2015 war drama Little Boy which revolves around Salman Khan and has Sohail Khan, Late actor Om Puri, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in important roles and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo. So have you watched the movie?
