Salman Khan's 'Sultan' to be screened at Shanghai Film Festival

The film’s director Ali Abbas Zafar shared the news on his twitter profile and delighted the fans of the star.

While Salman Khan's film Tubelight is nearing its release, another Salman Khan starrer is making noise. ‘Sultan' is set to be showcased at the upcoming 20th Shanghai International Film Festival. The film's director Ali Abbas Zafar shared the news on his Twitter profile and delighted the fans of the star. After being screened at Busan International Film Festival and the IFFI Goa, the film will be screened at Shanghai as well. The film's story revolves around wrestling and had managed to score big at the box office when it came out last year. The film continues to interest international audiences despite being a year old.  

Sultan featured Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles and it is proud moment for the film's cast and crew to get featured at the film festival. Talking about the film, Sultan's director Ali Abbas Zafar said that the film has performed well in the Indian market and he feels good at it is getting appreciation from other markets as well. "China, a nation with a proud legacy of cinema and martial arts, has found it suitable to feature in an acting competition section is a huge gratification to us. We are proud to be a part of Film Festival," he said.

Ali Abbas Zafar is currently working on his second film with Salman, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai', which is a sequel to the 2012 film 'Ek Tha Tiger'. The film will feature Katrina Kaif as the female lead and will release this year during Christmas period.
