Actor Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming war drama ‘Tubelight' in which he shares screen space with his brother Sohail Khan. The actor interacted with the media ahead of the film's release. Journalists asked him about the positive reception received by the film's trailer as well as the first two songs and does it ensure success beforehand. Salman disagreed with the statement and said that success can only be determined once the film releases. A film may record a decent weekend collection but may fall flat from Monday onwards. He went on to say that various other factors affect the film's business such as controversies and the atmosphere in the country around the film's release. Salman said that such things decide the fate of a film at the box office.

Recalling about the time he did the film ‘Jai Ho' with Sohail Khan, Salman said, "When we did Jai Ho, we cut down the prices of the ticket. But we didn't tell about it to anyone. Even we forgot that. People called it disaster, a flop. We later recalled that we had slashed the prices." The actor feels that increasing the price of the tickets is not a good practice. The actor has this viewpoint, despite most of his films have hiked ticket prices to cash in on the initial buzz.

'Tubelight' has been directed by filmmaker Kabir Khan who has worked with Salman previously on Ektha Tiger and BajrangiBhaijaan. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on the occasion of Eid.
