#MeToo movement is running in full spirit with many people speaking up on the issue and demeaning the sexual harassment prevailing in Bollywood. As sexual misconduct has become the habitual sickness of Bollywood, eminent actors and organizations have chosen to act towards its treatment by forming stringent laws.

After Aamir Khan quit Mogul and the makers of the film sacked director Subhash Kapoor, a recent report states that filmmaker Sajid Khan whose impending Housefull 4 is stalled, has been accused of sexual harassment by assistant director Saloni Chopra, actor Rachel White and journalist Karishma Upadhyay.

According to the buzz, Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar have chosen to step down to lead Housefull 4 owing to the sexual harassment allegations over Sajid Khan. About the same, a source said to a leading an entertainment portal, "Housefull 4 is a big film and a franchise that is very dear to Sajid Nadiadwala. He didn't want to hamper it or tarnish it by anyway. Both he and Akshay didn't want to trivialise the ongoing debate and push it under the carpet. Hence the decision was taken that Sajid will be asked to leave the film."

On learning about the harassment accusations leveled on Sajid Khan, Akshay Kumar tweeted, "I've just landed back in the country last night and reading all the news has been very disturbing. I have requested the producers of Housefull 4 to cancel the shoot until further investigation. This is something that requires stringent action. I will not work with any proven offenders and all those who have been subjugated to harassment should be heard and given the justice they deserve."

In the wake of the controversy, Sajid Khan has released a statement about quitting Housefull 4. His statement reads, "In the wake of the allegations against me and the pressure being put on my family, my producers and the stars of my film Houseful 4, I must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directorial post, till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth. I request my friends in media to not pass out judgement till the truth is out. "
