In a recent press conference in Berkeley, USA, Vice President of Congress Rahul Gandhi sparked a fire by passing controversial statements. He mocked several policies of the ruling government and took a dig at them.

And when he was asked to address his views on the sort of national debate Nepotism, since he himself is a product of it, he said,"Mr. Akhilesh Yadav is a dynast. Mr. Stalin is a dynast... even Abhishek Bachchan is a dynast. So, that's how India runs. So, don't get after me because that's how India is run. By the way, last, I recall, Ambanis are running the business. That's also going on in Infosys. So, that's what happens in India."

His ambiguous statements raised eyebrows, but Rishi Kapoor, who is known to be quite vocal, did not take much time to lash out at Rahul through a twitter rant.

He posted a series of tweets that read:

"Rahul Gandhi. In the 106 years of Indian cinema of India, Kapoor's contribution is 90 years. And each generation is chosen by public on merit"

"By God's grace, we are in 4 generations.Prithviraj Kapoor.Raj Kapoor.Randhir Kapoor.Ranbir Kapoor-Males.Besides all others. You see otherwise"

"So don't bullshit people on "Dynasty" You have to earn people's respect and love through hard work not zabardasti and gundagardi."

Although the emotions behind his rant are understandable, his leaving out the names of Kareena and Karisma remotely reeks sexism. Also, Rishi's alleged fact that the public chose the stars from the Kapoor khandaan is alien to us. Weren't almost all of them launched under their own production banner or of their friend's? Ahem!
