Ranveer Singh is now one of the topmost movie stars in India. From his insane acting range to his huge fan following across the country and his style statement fans are going crazy over him. But there was once a time when he thought that his career in Bollywood was over. He was afraid that he might not be able to dance or fight in films again after he suffered a serious back injury.

In his interview with BBC Hindi, the actor said, "In 2013, I suffered from a serious back injury. For two and a half months, I was bedridden. I was very afraid because I was in doubt whether or not I will be able to dance and fight. My dream of becoming an actor had just been fulfilled but things were slipping out of my hands. But once that phase got over, my choices became more authentic and I, as a person, became more unfiltered."

Now Ranveer has been on a profit share with his producers from Simmba onwards, which generally big stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and more celebs demand. Last year, he achieved a rare milestone of delivering more than Rs 500 crore at the box office through his two big hits, Padmaavat and Simmba.

A source recently revealed, "Ranveer is no longer the heir apparent. He is the superstar of this generation as his track record of delivering blockbusters show. And he has been delivered blockbusters consistently. Post-Padmaavat, which saw his performance propel the film to shatter several box office records, Ranveer's equity has seen a meteoric rise. The first choice of producers and directors, Ranveer now has a substantial pie of the profits and filmmakers are sweetening the deal for him by offering him a big margin!"

Even in his upcoming film '83, the actor has cracked a deal with the producers, where he'll be having extensive profit share.
